Stir Fried Beans with Beef
Crunchy young beans with slices of beef is a delicious combination. I was inspired to make this dish after I saw a Vietnamese recipe that also features beef and beans combination.
Ingredients:
300 grams of young beans, cut into 2.5 cm lengths
150 grams of beef slices
1 tablespoon of Shaoxing wine
1 tablespoon of light soy sauce
1 tablespoon of fish sauce
A dash of white pepper powder
1 teaspoon of sugar
3 cloves of garlic, chopped into chunks
Beef marinate ingredients:
1 teaspoon of light soy sauce
1 teaspoon of oyster sauce
A pinch of salt
A pinch of white pepper powder
1 ½ teaspoon cornstarch
1 teaspoon of sugar
1 teaspoon of cooking oil
Cooking methods:
1. Marinate the beef slices with light soy sauce, oyster sauce, salt, white pepper, cooking oil, sugar, and cornstarch. Let the beef slices to marinate for 3-4 hours.
2. Heat the wok and put 1 tablespoons of oil, stir fry the garlic chunk pieces until the colour turns light golden brown. Put in the beans and stir fry for a while until the beans slightly cooked/slightly transparent, set aside.
3. Heat the wok and put 2 tablespoons of oil, stir fry the beef slices until slightly browned. Put in the beans, put in the fish sauce, put in the light soy sauce, put in Shaoxing wine, put in white pepper powder, put in sugar. Combined all the ingredients together, put in a bit of water to prevent stickiness. Stir fry until the ingredients become well-cooked.
4. Serve
